Discovery

Our Discovery service is Encore Synergy (via Innovative Interfaces).  It has a simple search box located on our
Library Homepage, "search the catalog,"  located to the right above "electronic resources."  Results will display
with books appearing first and "articles" at the very bottom.  At the very top of the results screen to the left is
an Articles link that will rerun the search in a limited set of databases.  The left hand navigation contains categories
or facets which can be used to refine a search.  The "Classic" catalog is still available--see link under search box.

Off Campus Access

Instructions:  Click on a database or index and you will be prompted for your Novell username, Novell password, and
department or class year.  This service is for the Holy Cross community only.  Technical problems should be referred
to the ITS Help Desk 508-793-3548 or helpdesk@holycross.edu
