- To direct students to particular databases for their subject/course:
Research Guides by Subject: http://www.sju.edu/int/resources/libraries/drexel/articles/index.html ---guides are available for almost all subjects offered at Saint Joseph's University
Research Guides by Course: http://www.sju.edu/int/resources/libraries/drexel/articles/bycourse.html ---guides are available for selected courses ---some are for multi-section courses ex.: English 101 or Accounting 101. Others are for courses that address very specific content ex: Spanish for Business or Special Education or Business Policy (capstone course for all Business majors)
How Your Patrons remote access:
SJU uses EZProxy for remote access. When asked to login, use SJU Username/Password --- the same one that students use to get into our portal/Blackboard. However, we have 2 different scenarios.
ONE: When students are off campus and click on a scripted link for our databases, they will be challenged with a login request. Once in the databases, they can perform their search, see their results, and will click through to access articles/fulltext.
TWO: Our one exception is the Discover! service. With Discover! students will be able to do a search and see a list of results without logging in. But in order to have access to full text they must go to the banner at the top of the results screen (in the black bar area) and click to trigger the SJU login request for off-campus access. Otherwise, if they click on an individual article, they will be stuck at a login screen from the information vendor, not from our EZProxy.
