Off Campus Access

Instructions:
To access the Library's electronic resources from off-campus, students, faculty and staff should log into the databases directly. Once they have clicked on a database title they will be asked to authenticate. Once authenticated and should be able to access the Library's electronic resources from off-campus.

Troubleshooting:

If users cannot log into the Rockhurst databases and they are Rockhurst University students, faculty or staff, they should contact Computer Services at (816) 501-4357 for assistance with their login.

Late Fees

Faculty and Staff are not charged overdue fines on Rockhurst University materials; however, they are charged fines on Interlibrary Loan, WILO, and MOBIUS materials.

Rockhurst University Students, Guests and Courtesy Card holders are charged fines according to the following schedule for Rockhurst University materials.

           Books, Audio/Visual material     $.10 per item/day

           Laptop Computers     $.50 per hour

           Interlibrary Loan materials     $1.00 per item/day

           Reserve Material

                        2-Hour Library Use Only     $.50 per hour

                        Overnight, 3 Day, 1 Week   $.50 per day

All patrons paying fines for MOBIUS/WILO material must pay their home library, regardless of whether they obtained the item through Patron Initiated or Visiting Patron borrowing privileges. 

• ·         Example: A Rockhurst patron checks out a book from a library at UMKC and returns it later than the due date.  The fine will be assessed on his/her Rockhurst Library account and must be paid here, not at UMKC.

• ·         Please Note:  If one of our patrons loses a book from another library and would like to pay for it, we need a record of this transaction.

Rockhurst lost or damaged beyond repair materials have a fee of $75.00 per item.

MOBIUS lost or damaged items have a fee of $120.00 per item.

There is no grace period on overdues.  Fines are charged immediately upon the materials becoming delinquent.
